At Braxton's schold the 6th grade participated in the DARE program, which stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. They spent 10 weeks with Officer Tombac learing about the harmful effects of drugs, alchol and tobacco. Each student pledged to remain drug, alchol and tobacco free for life. The students each wrote a paper on the harmful effect these things do to our bodies and why we should not use them. 8 students were chosen out of 120 or so students to read their papers. They all did a great job. After all of the papers were read they were all awarded certificates.
